Tim Powell Physiotherapy

Tim Powell MCSP ~ Tim qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2001 from King's College London. After a brief period of working in the NHS, he worked with the military and this allowed to develop his interest in sports & exercise injuries. He has completed masters degree training in sports & exercise medicine. Over the years Tim has provided physiotherapy support to numerous athletes competing at international level in Women's rugby, Women's football, Sailing, Swimming, Tae-kwondo, Modern Pentathlon and Platform Diving. 

He has been one of the Physiotherapists with the Great Britain Platform/Springboard diving team, providing support to Olympic, World, European and Commonwealth Games medalists for the last 6 years attending at several international meets as part of the medical support team.

He is employed part time by the NHS as part of the knee orthopaedic surgical team as the county knee specialist physiotherapist. Tim also has a strong research interest. He was only 1 of 10 people in the South-West to achieve funding from the National Institute of Health Research to undertake clinical research with focus on hip pain in young adults.

Outside of work, Tim enjoys riding motorbike trials along with his 2 boys and anything outdoors!
